The conference was organized by the Wessex Institute, UK, represented by Dr Stavros Syngellakis, and the University of Alcala de Henares, Spain, represented by Professor Pilar Chias.
The conference, which started in Ashurst Lodge, UK in 2006 is well-established and always attracts a wide international spread of delegates. The variety of topics covered by the conference reflects the challenges and new opportunities for contemporary architecture. These are a result of advances in design and new building technologies, as well as the development of new materials. Our architect Adrián Cebrià gave a talk in said conference.
